When did you start working with Unland?

I joined Unland in July of 1989, after merging my 10-year independent agency with the company. Insurance was a family business for me and Unland provided me the freedom to provide the best solution for my customers. In 2021, I began consulting with the company, as I prepare for retirement.

What is your overall experience in the insurance industry?

I have over 41 years’ experience in the insurance industry and I’m winding down. I’m a Certified Benefits Advisor, Certified Senior Advisor, and focus on Benefits and Personal Insurance. I’ve also  enjoyed some time in radio and served on the Board of Directors for the Central Illinois Association of Health Underwriters and Represented the National Association of Health Underwriters regarding the Affordable Care Act.

Tell us about your family.

My wife and I have three sons, three daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I enjoy anything outdoors, sharing time with family and friends, playing golf, cooking, and gardening.

In what ways do you give back to your community?

I’ve coached youth sports and serve with a variety of volunteer organizations.
